Hello, and welcome to my corner of the web! It is an absolute pleasure to have you join me on this journey. I’m Christopher Ruíz, a writer, reader, and avid lover of all things horror.

From a childhood filled with secret late night viewings of Tales from the Crypt and The X-Files and readings of Goosebumps, to all-night binges of collections by masters like King, Barker, and Poe in adulthood, I have been fascinated by the dark side of human nature, by lurking monsters—both real and imagined—and the generally weird and strange. Now, I invite you into that world, through works of my own, no less! This website will be a place for me to share my process, talk about horror in all its forms and mediums, and offer a behind-the-pages look at future works.

The First Plunge into Dark Waters

I am thrilled to announce that my debut literary work, The Wishing Well, will be available on October 26, 2025. This collection of horror short stories has been an off-and-on passion project of mine since 2012. So, needless to say, I can't wait for you to finally have the chance to read it. Each of the stories in this first of likely multiple volumes has a distinct feel, voice, subgenre, so as to sate all your devilish appetites. The Next Steps

In the coming weeks, I'll be sharing more about the collection, maybe discuss a few of the things that inspired the stories, and some of the more business and how-to oriented nature of writing from a novice perspective (for any of you looking to dip your own toes into the murky waters of horror writing).

I cannot think of a more welcoming and diverse community than that of horror literature. I am grateful to be a part of it and look forward to connecting with all of you who similarly share a love for the macabre.
